Did you set your preferred language in the add-on settings? This is mandatory, otherwise it will not work normally. Has the video in question been translated into the language you are interested in on Viki's website?

Yes. I have defined my language (Portuguese), but it does not load the subtitle. I tested it on the video of the legend of chusen episode 1

OK, if subtitles doesnt load at first, try do seek back in the video. If that doesn't help also, stop the video and open it again. Sometimes subtitles are converted slowly in Kodi and because of that doen't load initialy:

looks like something changed with viki. it's not loading video anymore. also the subtitle selection shows up as blocks

FIXED: Loading Videos and Subtitles;
CHANGED: Playback is now based on Youtube-dl/yt-dlp;
KNOWN ISSUES: No Audio is available; Not Easy Configuration: After instalation/update of the addon, you must download this file https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp/blob/master/yt_dlp/extractor/viki.py and place it in ...kodi/addons/script.module.youtube.dl/lib/youtube_dl/extractor directory! Youtube-dl has not yet fixed the viki extractor, but the yt-dlp fork is. If after all this addon still doesn't work for you, use the official VIKI apps for your platform.

The VIKI plugin is working again!
The development has been taken over by Arias800 and the code has been completely rewritten from scratch. To use it, you need to register on the viki.com site and enter your account credentials in the add-on settings. Both premium and free subscriptions are supported. With a free subscription, you do not have access to all content and the picture quality is lower.
